The Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals (NLCHP) has developed a series of e-learning modules for health professionals practicing in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). These on-line learning modules constitute continuous learning activities and are allotted continuing education credits. The content areas of the e-learning modules pertain to the following:

Jurisprudence

The Jurisprudence learning module is designed to provide an overview of the regulatory framework (laws, regulations, by-laws, standards and policies) for your practice in Newfoundland and Labrador. It informs you of the legal and ethical foundation that defines the practice and boundaries of your profession and your accountabilities for safe and effective practice.

Canadian Health Care System

The goal of this learning module is to increase your awareness of the various components of the Canadian Health Care System. Through the use of course learning activities you will have an opportunity to apply the knowledge you acquire to your professional practice.

Mentorship

This learning module presents a framework that underpins the mentoring process and offers a module to successfully participate in a mentoring relationship. Learning activities will provide you an opportunity to reflect on your readiness to enter in a mentoring relationship and to practice tasks to facilitate your role as a mentor.
